COVID 19 GUIDELINES FOR ACCRA COLLEGE OF MEDICINE STAFF AND STUDENTS 

Keeping our community safe and well 

The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, students and the wider community is our highest priority in this year. Things will be different this year, and we will all need to make adjustments to the way we live and work. 

 

ACM has come up with a plan which focuses on the actions that are crucial for all of us to adopt to make things as safe as possible for everyone in the community.  In particular, you are asked to:

ACM building is open to studentsfor the 2020/2021 Academic year.  

On Campus
  • Temperature Check: Before you enter the building, your temperature would be checked and recorded. If your temperature is above 37.4 degrees you would not be allowed into the building. 
  • Wash your hands: Mandatory washing of hands with soap before entering the building. 
  • Wear a face mask: MANDATORY WEARING OF FACE MASK before and during your stay in the building. 
  • Avoid touching your EYES, NOSE, or MOUTH. 
  • Do not share cups, eating utensils, food or drinks with others. 
  • Maintain a distance of at least 1 meter in and outside the lecture rooms and the offices. 
  • DO NOT USE the air conditioners in the lecture rooms, OPEN DOORS AND WINDOWS FOR AIRFLOW.  
  • If you do not feel well stay at home. 
  • NO EATING OR DRINKING IN THE LECTURE ROOMS. 

*Only FIVE (5) students are allowed to use a lecture room at a time. 

Spaces which are open to use from Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm are: 

  • Library 
  • Lecture Room 4 
  • Laboratory (to use the anatomage or the models – Students will need to put in a request to use the facilities with the Laboratory coordinator) 
Off Campus
  • Wash your hands: Mandatory washing of hands with soap before entering the building.
