New Freshman


We warmly welcome you to Ghana’s leading private medical university and congratulate you on securing admission to this noble institution. Studying Medicine is quite demanding, and we hope you strike a balance between your studies and campus life. Enjoy your stay at Accra College of Medicine and hope you have a great academic journey.

All admitted students and continuing students should make sure they partake in all activities organized at the school. Orientation is usually held a week before lectures start and it is mandatory for all students. All Freshmen are also expected to attend Matriculation ceremony and sign the matricula to officially make them students of ACM.

The College has no hostel facility, however there are hostels around and close to the College campus. Upon request for assistance, the College’s Facility Manager will assist a student in finding a hostel of their choice. However, the financial commitment and final agreement will be between the student and the relevant Hostel Management.

Students are advised to choose a hostel that best suits them and also will enable them have sound mind for learning.

International students are to arrive in the country days before the start of the academic calendar to be able to navigate their way around and also book their accommodation to avoid any unforeseen challenges.

Note that you will have to pick a cab from the Airport to East Legon and this may cost between GHS 40 to GHS 50.


All International students and Ghanaian students with international certificates (IGSCE and A level, IB, French IB and those with foreign and local First degrees) are required to verify their results through the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission and present them to the College to enable them complete the admission process.


Please note that all eligible foreign nationals living in Ghana are required by law to register and have a Non-Citizen Card.

The Non-Citizen Card is a national identity card for internationals which costs US$120 and $60 for renewal. It is a legal requirement to have a Residence Permit. Please ensure you get this from the National Identification Authority Offices as soon as you arrive in Ghana.

Note: Upon request, the school will assist interested students in getting their students permit. Note there are conditions attached.
